Rong Notes (Liu, Hui Rong) is an artist and architect based in Berlin, Germany.
Born and raised in Taiwan, Rong moved to United States in 2013 in pursuit of higher education in Architecture. She received a full tuition scholarship for a Bachelor degree at The Cooper Union in New York City. She was awarded the George Ledie Fund Annual Prize, Benjamin Menschel Travel Fellowship and William Cooper Mack Thesis Fellowship for her thesis project “ 72 Hours City”.
Rong is now a registered architect in the state of Berlin. She has established Rongnotes, her drawing practice that inhabits the space between art and architecture in 2019. Rong has participated in various exhibitions in Berlin, Japan and New York City. Her artworks are acquired by collectors from around the world.
To further expand her drawing practice, Liu will begin studying for an M.A. in Visual Communication at Kunsthochschule Weißensee in the fall of 2024.
